One of our clients, Adam H. of South Riverside County, came to us in June 2014 for help to bring an end to his long and contentious divorce. Tired from the litigation, he and his wife didn’t want to waste any more money. Each party previously had attorneys on their case and had already fought in court to get orders on custody and visitation. On the initial visit our team gathered the relevant information and reviewed what was already filed at the court. He instructed us to complete the final divorce judgment as laid out by the courts form packages incorporating their decisions on how to divide their property and debts.
Within a few days all documents were completed and ready for each party’s signature. The final documents were immediately dispatched to the court on July 1st. Usually the Hemet Family Law Court takes about 6-8 weeks to receive, process and forward the documents to the Judge for a final signature. On July 24th the court system’s notes showed the documents were processed and waiting for the Judge’s final review and signature. As is our usual practice, our team continued to check the court’s notes every day to confirm all was processing as expected. On July 28th the Judgment for divorce had been signed and entered into the court’s records. We then were able to call our clients to give them the good news that without them going back to court or spending excessive legal fees, their case was all done and they could expect their final judgment in their mailbox within a week.
Our team understands how important it is for our clients to not have to worry about the sometimes confusing court process. We do everything within our power to get our client’s documents processed fast and effectively every single time.
